Obituary of Ryan James Schleyer

Ryan James Schleyer, 9 of Hammonton passed away tragically on Sunday in Hamilton Township. Born in Voorhees he was a lifelong resident of Hammonton. Ryan was a third grade student at the Warren E. Sooy Jr. Elementary School in Hammonton. Ryan was a fun loving, outgoing and energetic boy. He loved spending time outdoors, riding his scooter, bike and quad, but his favorite pastime was playing baseball, a sport in which he excelled. He played baseball for teams at the Hammonton Little League, and he played travel baseball with the Hammonton Stars. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, James McCrane, and Uncle Sonny Ceretelle. He is survived by his beloved parents, Leonard and Kimberly Schleyer, one brother, Leonard Thomas Schleyer , his paternal grandparents, Leonard and Laura Schleyer all of Hammonton, his maternal grandmother, Judith McCrane of Berlin, his uncles, James McCrane Jr. of Toms River, and Shawn McCrane of Clementon, his aunt, Laurie Schleyer of Hammonton, his cousins, Linda and Joshua. Ryan is also survived by many great aunts and uncles, cousins and friends. A viewing will be held Thursday 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM and Friday 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third Street in Hammonton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday 11:00 AM at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish Church of St. Martin DePorres, 129 Park Avenue in Hammonton. Burial will follow at Greenmount Cemetery in Hammonton. Family requests donations to the Hammonton Stars Basebal 0102, 41 Rocha Court, Hammonton, NJ 08037 or to the Hammonton Little League, P.O.
