I just saw that Mr. Butterhof had passed away. My condolences to the family. Mr. Butterhof was my science teacher in Mays Landing when President Kennedy was assassinated. He had us sit in the classroom with the lights off and told us to behave until he came back. We asked what happened and he would not say telling us that we would find out when we got home.
I never forgot that day and what transpired.
Rest in Peace my friend until we meet again.

I am sorry to hear of Tony's passing. He was a fellow teacher at Sterling High School. He was a big help to me when I had problems with the computers in my classroom. I, also, remember him running our lottery pool. We didn't win much, but we enjoyed it. He certainly had an busy and interesting life, and I'm sure he will be sorely missed.

I was so sorry to read that Tony has passed away. Art and I were colleagues of Tony's at Sterling High School, and I remember his smile and kind blue eyes and a wicked sense of humor. Tony helped me through some training as Sterling entered the computer age. He was always very patient with me, and he made me feel comfortable using this new tool. After watching the tribute video, I can only conclude that Tony had a wonderful life and leaves a beautiful family behind. May love and good memories see you all through this difficult time.

To ALL who knew and Loved this man, We, the members of the Experimental Aircraft Association, Chapter 216, send our heart felt thoughts. Tony, as we called him, was an interesting part of our organization. My thoughts go back to when he had his airplane at Alloway Airport. He did the coordinating of aircraft during our fly in's. The one word description of Tony would be-'Character'. He is missed. Rest in peace, Tom McDowell

We heard surprisingly of the loss of our dear friend, Tony Butterhoff through his older daughter Barbie. This came as quite a surprise loss to us and our children.
Tony and his wife Virginia and their girls were so close to our children when we were in New Jersey when our children were very young. We were so close to grand pop and grand ma Matro. Tony and Virginia’s sister and sister in law Carmilla were so instrumental in bringing us into their entire family. We have always been so grateful and blessed to know the great teachings and examples set forth in their family to share with us.
We are forever thankful to your family. We will always keep you all close in our thoughts sand prayers.
To our sister Virginia we love you and your beautiful family and will always be close to you all in our thoughts and prayers. God bless you all and keep you all in his loving care. We love you all and miss you all so much.
Love you all Ron, Jean and all of our family. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
