Obituary of Edward J. D'Agostino

Edward J. D'Agostino, 79 of Hammonton died unexpectedly on Thursday at Kennedy Health Systems in Washington Township. Born in Hammonton he was a lifelong resident there. He was a graduate of Hammonton High School Class of 1949. Mr. D'Agostino was an U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War, he was stationed in the Panama Canal Zone. He served with the 3174 Company A 25 th Engineer BN, where he worked in artillery radio maintenance, he had sharpshooter designation. Before retiring he worked for R.C.A. in Camden, prior to that he worked at Kimble Glass in Vineland. Mr. D'Agostino loved his home, and doing yard work there. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his grandchildren, watching his grandson play soccer and baseball, and his granddaughter's swim meets, and Saturday morning gymnastics. He was predeceased by his daughter, Denise Lynne D'Agostino, his parents, Frank "Lightning" and Annette (nee Castrenze) D'Agostino, and his brother, Frank "Lightning" D'Agostino. He is survived by his beloved wife of fifty five years, Sandra J. D'Agostino (nee Bright), two daughters, Rochelle D'Agostino Salmon, Claudine Migliacco and her husband Pat, three grandchildren, Emily Salmon, Keith Salmon, and Paisley Migliacco, two sisters, Jean Lancetta and her husband, Carmen, and Gloria Zingrone, his sister in law, Norma D'Agostino and his former son in law, Steven L. Salmon all of Hammonton. Viewings will be held Tuesday 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM and Wednesday 8:30 AM - 9:30 AM at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third Street in Hammonton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday 10:00 AM at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Paris Church of St. Anthony of Padua, 285 Route 206 in Hammonton. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Hammonton.
