Obituary of James B Powers

James B. Powers, Jr., 54, of Collings Lakes, NJ passed away on Sunday at his residence. The season of the life for Mr. Powers began in Cordele, GA on June 2, 1956, where his seed was planted by the late James B. Powers and Nettie Bell Hargrove. He was a maintenance supervisor at Atlantic County Institute of Technology in Mays Landing. He was a member of the Hammonton First Assembly of God Church, and he was a United States Army Veteran. Mr. Powers is survived by his wife: Deborah Denise (Williams) Powers; his children: James Keith Powers, Tyrone Powers, Whanika (Scottie) Troutman, Herbert (LaTeena) Sykes, Tricia Sykes; April (Anthony) Grandy; his siblings, Bennie (Jewel) Cross, Jimmy (Beverly) Powers, Willie (Elaine) Powers, Fannie Frazier; Pinkie (Robert) Addae; his mother in law: Fannie Miller; his father in law: James P. Williams; his sister in law, Ingrid Williams (Bob), 17 grandchildren and a host of family and friends. Funeral Services will be held Thursday 7:00pm at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St., Hammonton where a viewing will be held from 5:00pm until 7:00pm. Burial will be in Hardshell Cemetery in Big Creek, GA.
