Obituary of Shirley Jean Christopher

Shirley J. Christopher (nee Berenato) 56 of Winslow Township died Monday at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Born in Harlingen, TX she was a lifelong resident of the Hammonton and Winslow area. Shirley worked for the Winslow Township Construction Office. She was a jewelry consultant for Lia Sophia. She was a member of the Gloucester County Community Church, and she was a graduate of Hammonton High School Class of 1973. Shirley was predeceased by her son, Robert Christopher III and her mother, Frances J. Kovshuk (nee Mortelliti). She is survived by one son and his wife, Michael and Lorie Christopher, one grandchild, Emalyn Christopher all of Hammonton, her father and step mother, Samuel and Marietta Berenato of New Egypt, two sisters and their husbands, Judy and Steven Peterson of Hooksett, NH, Barbara and Robert Ruberton of Hammonton, her nephew and his wife, Brandon and Lisa Schefer of Egg Harbor Township, her niece and her husband Stephanie and Jason Pelletier of Hooksett, NH, also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and great nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held Friday 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third Street in Hammonton, where funeral services will take place at 11:00 AM.
