Joe had a huge heart, i grew up around him when my dad was in Rotary & became a family friend. He was bigger than life & I will miss his smile & laughter when bumping into him at businesses around town. Rest in peace Joe

Joe was truly one of a kind, when Jack and I had the farm if we needed him he was right there no matter where it was or time of day. I was broke down at Deptford Mall and he came to help me. I enjoyed running into him and talking about the past, and present. Rest in peace Joe with Mary and Brittany.

I knew Joe as Patti father. He was always full of fun and life. He would invite Patti’s teacher friends to take veggies from his garden. We share personal joke that he would always tease me about. When Ant was born some of Patti’s 1st Grade teacher friends rushed to the hospital to see him. You were only allowed to see the baby if you were family. So some people could and did pass as family because it was hard to tell but with my beautiful brown skin it wasn’t so easy so I said “I’m the nanny.” We laughed about this each time that I saw him. Patti I loved your dad and will cherish the fond memories we made. You are a lucky girl to have had a good DAD.

I was just thinking of Joe the other day since I bumped into Whitey Barresi in town. Joe was a good man and compassionate & sincere. When our Nicole passed 20 years ago he came to our house & gave his thoughts on a loved one's loss. He was awesome. When he left, my family (all from Philly) ASKED WHO WAS THAT MAN. SO IMPRESSIVE. Joe, I haven't seen you recently but now & then I've thought about you. Always stopped at my shop to see how I was doing. You are at peace now with your wife and granddaughter. Prayers & sympathies for your family. Joe pray for us. Sincerely, Joanne Gallo

The world has lost a bright star and we have lost a good friend. We often spoke about being "old-school" where your handshake was your word. Thanks for all your support at the museum, Joe. We will miss you and your visits so much. Anne and Lou
