Obituary of Andrew J. Griffith, Jr.

Andrew J. Griffith, Jr., 73, of Columbia, MD and formerly of Collings Lakes, passed away on Thursday in Bryant Woods Inn Assisted Living. He was a member of the Army National Guard, retiring as an Sgt. 1st Class. Before his retirement he worked as a security guard at Caesars Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City. He also formerly worked for Scott Paper Co., and at the Navy Yard in Philadelphia, where he was a machinist and did extensive work on the Battleship New Jersey. Mr. Griffith was predeceased by his wife, Loretta (nee Neal) Griffith. He is survived by his brother, Robert Griffith, Sr. and his finance, Judith Gast of Columbia; his nephew: Robert Griffith, Jr. and his wife Karen, their son Robert Todd Griffith and his son, Blake Samuel Griffith, his nieces: Cheryl Lynn Goles, Kathleen Griffith; Darlene Peters and her children: Andrew M. , Matthew M., John M., and his sister in law Joan Griffith. He is also survived by Judith's family: Amy McNeely and fianc, Tom Mann; Sara McNeely, Cody McNeely, Chuck and Kam Gast and their son Casey. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday 12:00pm at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St., Hammonton, where a viewing will be held from 11:00am until 12:00pm. Burial will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Hammonton.
