Verna (Rita) Silipena, (nee Andronico), 93 of O'Fallon, IL and formerly of Hammonton, NJ passed away on January 4, 2021 at The Colonnade Senior Assisted Living Center in O'Fallon, IL. Mrs. Silipena was born on December 31, 1927 in Hammonton. Verna was a homemaker, avid reader and loved sewing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Silipena, her parents Ralph and Lucie (nee Rigolizzo) Andronico and her brother, Carmen Andronico. Surviving are her children, Cinthia (Terry) Bohnemeier of O'Fallon, IL and Karen (William) Kohri of Sykesville, MD; a sister, Lucy (Anthony) Chiumento; grandchildren, Christopher (Emily) Bohnemeier, Margaret (Danny) Bradac, Leah (Joseph) DuBose and Kevin (Crystal) Kohri; great-grandchildren, Paige and Kayla Bohnemeier, and Alexander and Austin Bradac; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A private family service and interment will be held at a later date.
