Obituary of Jose F. Contes

Jose F. Contes, 45, of Vineland and formerly of Hammonton passed away on Monday, February 8, 2021 at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland. Born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico he lived most of his life in Hammonton before moving to Vineland three years ago. Jose was a member and attended these churches during different times in his life, The Spanish Pentecostal Church in Hammonton, CRES Ministries in Egg Harbor City and HPM in Vineland. He worked as a mechanic at CARVANA in Delanco. He was predeceased by his father, Jose A. Contes and his grandmother, Rosa Mercado. He is survived by his wife, Leis Contes, three children, Leisha Lebron (Jeremy), Jose F. Contes Jr. (Marissa), and Eric Contes (Alexis), his mother, Rosa Gandia (Julio Martinez), two grandchildren, Leila Lebron and Lenae Lebron, two brothers, Danisel Contes and Benjamin Contes (Sara), and several brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing on Thursday, February 11, 2021 from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM at the Spanish Pentecostal Church, 100 French Street in Hammonton, where funeral services will take place at 7:00 PM. Another viewing will be held on Friday, February 12, 2021 from 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM at the church. Burial services will follow at Greenmount Cemetery, 124 S. First Road in Hammonton.
