Obituary of Luz "Lucy" Guzman

Luz Celenia Guzman (Nunez-Tirado) known to many as Lucy, unexpectedly went home to be with the Lord on January 20, 2022. Born on August 17, 1948 in San Sebastian, PR. Lucy was the daughter of Fermin Nunez and Julia Tirado. She is predeceased by her parents along with her brothers Urcino, Ismael, Daniel Ruben, Juan, Jose Luis and Daniel Junior Nunez. She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years Eluzier Guzman, daughters Mary Luz Guzman of Vineland, Christine Guzman (Les) of Hammonton, Alice Guzman of Hammonton, Julie Marrero (Javier) of Vineland, Lisa Daughtry (Jason) of Mays Landing, Sixteen grandchildren: Ramon III, Jessica, Rebecca, Mateo, Joshua, Jazlyn, Juliet, Gaberiel, Julissa, Natalia, Javier Jr., Xavier, Jonuel, Joseph, Vanessa, and Michael Javier and nine great grandchildren: Oriana, Aubry, Aiden, Avery, Skyler, Julisse, Amelia, Mason and Blake, siblings Hector (Felicita) of Vineland, Judith (Edwin) of Wisconsin and Ramon Nunez of Puerto Rico along with a host of family and friends. Lucy worked for various companies throughout the years but spent most of her years as a homemaker caring for her husband, children and grandchildren. She loved spending time outdoors, gardening, swinging on her hammock, singing, grilling, and spending time with her family. Her faith in God allowed her to weather any storm. She longed for the day in which she would be in paradise. She is an angel now and is in the splendor of God's majesty. She will be forever be loved and missed and never forgotten. Funeral Services will be held at the Spanish Pentecostal Assembly of God, 100 French Street in Hammonton on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at 7:30 PM, friends will be received from 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM on Thursday and again on Friday, January 28, 2022 from 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM, where another funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 124 S. First Road in Hammonton.
