My condolences to the family and friends of Aunt Hilde.
She was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, Aunt and friend to all those that knew her.
She and Uncle Buddy would have celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary this year, what a blessing to have loved and been loved for so many years by the 1 you love.
Aunt Hilde was SO very fortunate to have caregivers that honored her every wish; “Thank you All”.
I was grateful to be able to bring her sister Rosa from Texas to see her sister Hilde before she continued on her next journey. She passed away the day we left, 3/24.
So many wonderful memories!
Uncle Buddy retired at Fort Hood, Tx. It was wonderful because we lived in Killeen when he was stationed there and then retired. The year my parents moved to Austin, my sister and I got to live with Aunt Hilde and Uncle Buddy for a few months to finish out our school year. My sister in high school and me in elementary. What an experience for both Aunt Hilde & Uncle Buddy (who had no children) to take in a teenager and 9 yr old for a few months. It was definitely a learning phase for all of us.
Mom is missing her SKYPE calls with her sister. :-(
