Obituary of Jerome B. Llaneta

Jerome B. Llaneta, 60, of Wellsville, NY passed away peacefully at his daughters home in Buena Vista Township, NJ on Wednesday, April 6, 2022. Jerome was born in Baguio City, Philippines and lived in New York City, then South Jersey for many years before moving to Wellsville, NY in 2010. He served for 27 1/2 years in the Army and the National Guard achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant, and was a veteran of the Gulf War and Iraq War. He received many medals and commendations including but not limited to: Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Army Overseas Service Ribbon, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal. He also worked as Mobile Engineer for the Unit Equipment Training Site at Fort Dix. Jerome was predeceased by his parents, Zosimo and Theresita Llaneta, and his brother Louie Llaneta. He is survived by his beloved wife, Laura L. Llaneta (nee Wheeler), four children, Kimberly (Lou), Adam (Teianna), Melissa (William) and Amanda (Justin) and many grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Monday, April 18, 2022 from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third Street in Hammonton, where funeral services will take place at 1:00 PM.
