Obituary of Shirley Darlene DeRosa

Shirley Darlene DeRosa, (nee Danks), 84, passed away on Friday, May 27, 2022 after an extended illness. She was born in Birds Creek, West Virginia and moved to Hammonton, NJ after graduating high school. Darlene retired after many years working at Whitehall Laboratories in Hammonton. She had a special love for all her grandchildren. She also loved gardening and she especially loved helping others. Darlene is survived by her husband Nicholas DeRosa; 3 daughters Wendy Porretta (Mike), Debora DeRosa, and Valerie Antoni. She also leaves behind 6 grandchildren, Michael Porretta, (Sarah), Nico Porretta, (Nicole), David Antoni, Maria Marcio, (Nick), Nicholas Antoni, Grace DeRosa. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, June 2, 2022, 11:00 am at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St., Hammonton, where a visitation will be held from 9:30 am - 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Greenmount Cemetery.
