Obituary of John Capoferri

John Capoferri Sr., 92 of Hammonton died Monday at AtlantiCare Medical Center in Galloway Township. Born in Elm he was a lifelong resident of the Hammonton and Elm area. Mr. Capoferri was an U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, where he participated in the Normandy Invasion. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post No. 1026, and the First Assembly of God Church both in Hammonton. Before retiring he worked for the Laborers Union Local No. 172. He was predeceased by his wife, Gladys Capoferri and his son, Richard Capoferri. He is survived by two sons and their wives, Dennis and Donna Volk of Atco, and John and Barbara Capoferri Jr. of Pine Hill, six grandchildren and one great grandchild. A viewing will be held Friday 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third Street in Hammonton, where funeral services will take place at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Greenmount Cemetery in Hammonton.
