Obituary of Barbara Carlamere

Barbara "Bobbie" Carlamere, 74 of Blue Anchor, NJ passed away on Sunday September 18th, 2022 in her home surrounded by family. Born in Hammonton, NJ she was a life-long resident of Blue Anchor. Always dedicated to family Bobbie never moved far from her own parents where she lived out their life as neighbors. Bobbie started her early adulthood with dreams of being a hairdresser which were quickly replaced with her true calling of mother, home maker and bus driver. Bobbie worked for the Winslow Township Board of Education for 30 years where she made lifelong friends which she considered as family. She was always eager to volunteer for her favorite church and spent many years as the treasurer of the St. Lucy's Altar Rosary Society. She loved to have "Date-Night" with her husband, reading, gardening and would always look forward to hosting family events at her loving home. Post retirement Bobbie spent 8 loving years providing full time day care to her 3 latest grandchildren. An opportunity she welcomed, cherished, and loved. Above all she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all she loved. She was known for her infectious smile, contagious laughter and a sense of humor which could brighten even the worst of days. She was predeceased by her parents Fred and Carmella Niceta. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Joseph. Her three children, Joseph Jr (Diane), Kevin (Brenda), Jason (Sara) Her 7 grandchildren (Kayla, Sabrina, Joseph III, Lillian (Lily), Aubrey, Jake, Axel; her brother Fred Niceta(Lisa) and many aunts and cousins. A viewing will be held on Friday, September 23 between 9:00 am and 10:30 am at the Carnesale Funeral Home 202 S. Third Street Hammonton, NJ, where funeral services will be held at 10:30 am. Burial will follow in Greenmount Cemetery, Hammonton. In lieu of flowers donations in Bobbie's honor may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
