Obituary of Victor T. Diaz
Please share a memory of Victor to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Victor T. Diaz, 58 years young, took his final ride on Monday, October 17, 2022.
As a dual resident, Victor spent most time in Palm Coast (Florida) where he organically built an extended network of family and friends. Throughout the duration of his stay, he has become somewhat of a local celebrity across East Coast towns including Daytona, Ormond Beach, Bunnell, and more.
For those who knew him, not only feel the remnants of his abundant personality, but also his way of life and what drove him to get up every morning. In ranking order are Victor's top 10 favorite things:
1.) Matteo (his grandson) & his Florida Harley-Davidson are tied for 1st
2.) His New Jersey Harley-Davidson
3.) Matteo (his grandson)
4.) Florida (East Side)
5.) Matteo (his grandson)
6.) Finns Beachside Pub (Flagler Beach, FL)
7.) Bike Week (no matter the location)
8.) An ice-cold Miller Lite
9.) Movies (especially James Bond & Old Westerns)
10.) New Jersey (but ONLY because it is where his daughter, grandson, son-in-law, immediate family, and extended family reside).
Victor made every effort to live a fulfilling life after retiring from a lengthy tenure of 35 years at Atlantic City Electric as a Troubleman.
From casual hobbies like cruising on his motorcycle and grabbing a beer with friends to major life events like the birth of his grandson, Matteo, and marrying his daughter off to her husband, it goes without saying that he has accomplished what most people don't in just under 59 years.
His welcoming, yet warm, smile is a fossil forever ingrained in the minds and memories of those who loved him.
His radiant personality is a permanent, yet gentle, feeling that we will not be able to shake.
His infectious laugh is a part of our episodic memory as it is what helped define Victor as the kind and generous human being he was.
It is a rare find for a 6'1" Harley riding, leather-jacket wearing tough guy to be so gentle. His legacy will continue to thrive in abundance in the lives of everyone he has touched down the entire East Coast from New Jersey to Florida.
Victor was predeceased by father, Victor Diaz Sr. and Jack Russell, Tike. He is survived by his daughter - Brittany Diaz-Colacurcio, grandson - Matteo Colacurcio, mother - Patricia Diaz, sister - Jillian Perna, niece - Trisha Perna, nephews - Joseph and Logan Perna, and son-in-law - Joseph Colacurcio.
A legendary celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 30th, 2022 at Sweetwater Marina & Riverdeck from 2pm-6pm where the family will honor Victor's life, legacy, and pursuit of eternal happiness.
