Obituary of Kalliopi A. Koutsaftis

Kalliopi A. Koutsaftis, 90, of Amherst, Ohio passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at Kingston of Vermilion. She was born July 12, 1932 in Loutsa, Evia, Greece to the late Speridon and Sotiria (Yiamas) Makris. Kalliopi was a faithful member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Lorain, Ohio. She was a dedicated homemaker, and she loved spending time with her grandchildren, tending her flower garden, and cooking for her family and friends. Kalliopi is the beloved wife of the late Athanasios Koutsaftis; loving mother of Rita Tzaferos (the late Gus), and Anastasios Koutsaftis (Pamela); devoted Yiayia of Gus Tzaferos (Ewa), Athanasios Koutsaftis (Sara), Kali Dremow (TJ), and Jacqueline Koutsaftis; great Yiayia of Eleni, Nikoletta, Tasi, Eleanor, and Max; sister of four. Memorial contributions suggested to St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 2000 Tower Blvd, Lorain, OH 44053, where a Private Funeral Mass will be held. Private funeral services and burial will be held in Hammonton at the convenience of the family.
