Obituary of Michael R. Palmieri

Michael R. Palmieri, Jr., 69 of Hammonton died Saturday November 19, 2011 at home. Born in Hammonton he was a lifelong resident there. He was a 1961 graduate of Hammonton High School and was a member of their football team. Mike loved sports and playing cards. He was a proud member of the Sons of Italy Lodge No. 1658 in Hammonton for over 20 years. He was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Mary ( nee Allen). Married to his high school sweetheart for 48 years. He is survived by his wife Marie (nee Crescenzo), three daughters, Michelle (Mike Harris), Maryanne, and Marlene all of Hammonton. His brothers, Ralph (Michael) of Collingswood and Joseph (Cheryl) of Portland, Maine, his brother in law and his wife John and Judi Crescenzo of South Venus, FL. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by his close friends, Ronnie, Ritchie, Eddie, and Steve, and his cats, Socks, Daisy and Olivia. In his younger years he worked at his family farm, The Palmieri Brothers before starting his own business in 1977 "The Farmers Daughter, which he operated until 2005. He loved his flowers and customers and he missed them very much. He will be sadly missed by his family. A viewing will be held Tuesday, November 22, 2011 from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish Church of St. Anthony of Padua, 285 Route 206 in Hammonton, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Hammonton.
