Obituary of Frances A. Monahan

Frances A. Monahan (nee Williams), 82 of Collings Lakes, NJ passed away peacefully at home with her daughters by her side. Born in Camden she has lived in Collings Lakes for almost 50 years. She worked as a waitress at several different restaurants in the area over the years. She enjoyed going to the casino and the race track with her husband Phil, and she was known for her delicious homemade iced tea. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of sixty two years, Arnold (Phil) Monahan who passed away just five days before her on December 9, 2023. She was also predeceased by her parents, George and Josephine (nee Lepori) Williams, her brother, Robert Williams, her sisters, Lynda Thiel, Joan Wood, Josephine Wiltsey and Donna Williams. She is survived by her three children, Michael Monahan (Pam), Michelle Zarrella (Mike) and Kimberly Gatchell (Rich), her seven grandchildren who meant the world to her, Danielle, Tyler, Michael, Matthew, Nicholas, Anthony and Connor and one sister, Debra M. Williams (John) A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 11:00 AM for both Phil and Frances at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third Street in Hammonton, where a visitation will be held after 10:00 AM. Entombment will follow at Greenmount Cemetery in Hammonton, where Phil and Frances will be entombed together.
