Hi Mark, your mom was my neighbor for close to to thirty years. I will always miss her calling me "Kid". We shared a lot of conversations just raking our yard or putting out our trash. Jackie, your mom and I would all meet at the street in the morning and just share and laugh. Jackie and Lucy together gave me a very pleasurable life on Fennimore Dr. I would hear a car pull up in your drive way and a little later a door shut and off Miss Lucy went out to bingo. She always had fun and enjoyed her life. There were many nights our neighbor Jackie and myself would go over and play cards. Every Holloween, when my children were young she always had a special stash of candy set aside for them. She was especially very proud of her precious son, you were the joy of her life, Mark, but she let you grow up and make your own choices, most of the time. Although there was a time or two that I can remember she showed a little hosility. lol... I guess she was fearing you might actually make the wrong choices but in the end she let it all work itself out. I love Lucy Hofmann and I look forward to not only seeing her but hanging out with her when I get to Heaven. I think the first thing she will say to me is " How ya doing,Kid?"
