Lucy has been my older sis since a kid, her family my family. She has always been sweet, kind, great sense of humor, good mother, daughter, sister, and friend. No more suffering momma. Tell pop I said hey. Y'all smiling together. Love and peace to my family!

My friend and sister, I have so many memories of us, from school trips to adulthood. While our friends were hoping to have certain teachers I was looking for certain classmates during the August months because they would be published in the paper. Having you by my side every year was a blessing. Our 5th grade year was definitely a highlight when Mr Vaughn scolded us for writing notes... back and forth. I remember that we lost touch until we bumped into each other going back to HHS. Our friendship picked up like we had never been separated. I remember the time we were watching Days of our lives with the breaking news of the shuttle exploding, not just 15 minutes prior I said God must not like clutter in space. You looked at me with those eyes and called me a witch. I remember the fun times of going with your family to Berlin auction and going back to your house. I remember when I bottomed out your practice car in a puddle the size of a small lake. I remember how excited we were when we told each other of our first pregnancies. You are that friend who leveled ones mind with positive vibes no matter the suffering you were feeling. I know that all who knew you lost a piece of themselves because you touched them in a a positive way...your light was contagious to all who surrounded you. I love you dear friend sleep well.

Q: What will you never forget about Luz? A: What I will always remember is how much a kind hearted person she was, she had such a beautiful heart and soul. Lucy always treated me and my kids like family and that’s something I will never forget. My son loved her so much, I’m going to miss her dearly. Until we meet again my friend , my sister.
