Obituary of David J. Gulig

David J. Gulig, 76, of Mullica Township passed away peacefully, Friday, August 16, 2024, with his loving wife of 56 years by his side. He was born in Fond Du Lac, WI and lived here for 57 years. David served his country proudly serving in the United States Army. He was a low bed operator for Barrett Asphalt in Hammonton. He was a member of the National Rifle Association. David loved sitting on his porch and watching the hummingbirds and cardinals in his yard. He enjoyed watching Old Western movies and shows and James Bond movies. After he retired, he became an avid soap opera fan, his favorite being General Hospital. He was predeceased by his sons, David and Michael, his grandson David Gulig, Jr. and his brother-in-law Leo Sarao. David is survived by his wife of 56 years, Katherine Gulig (nee Sarao), his daughter in law, Stacy Gulig, his sister-in-law, Tracy Neiss, his brother-in-law, Tony Sarao and his family, his "favorite Girls" Brittany, Samantha and Cheryl, his grandchildren, Amanda Gulig, Katherin Gulig Trout and her husband Cody), Haley Gulig and Michael Gulig, Jr. and his great grandson, Cooper Trout. David is also survived by his siblings, nieces, nephews and cousins in Wisconsin. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, August 22, 2024, 11:30 am at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St., Hammonton, NJ 08037, where a viewing will be held from 9:30am until 11:30 am. Burial will be held in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Hammonton.
