Obituary of Philip Delareto

Philip Delareto, 55 of Elm, NJ passed away Sunday at his residence. Born in Vineland he was a lifelong resident of Elm. Phil was a farmer for many years with his late father, Sam. For the past fifteen years he has worked as a custodian for the Hammonton Public School System. He was predeceased by his parents Sam and Theresa (nee Ammirato) Delareto. He is survived by his loving fiancee, Terry Bowker and her children Eugene Sanderson (Shana) and Victoria Sanderson and her daughter Addison Clarke, his uncle Rocky Delareto (Janice) of Galloway Township, his cousins, Bridget and Joseph Carruolo, Bunny and Pat Cassario, Lillian DeMarco, his godson, Rocco Delareto Jr. (Diana) and their son Rocky III and numerous other cousins. Philip's life was guided by strong religious beliefs instilled in him by his mother. He had a soft, gentle manner that gained him many friends who held him in high regard. This respect and affection for him was displayed during his short illness through an enormous outpouring of thoughtfulness, generosity and kindness which gave him so much comfort. A viewing will be held Thursday 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM and Friday after 9:00 AM at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third Street in Hammonton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday 10:00 AM at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish Church of St. Anthony of Padua, 285 Route 206 in Hammonton. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Hammonton.
