Obituary of Eugene C. Santomas

Eugene C. Santomas, 89, of Hammonton passed away on Wednesday in Atlantic Care Regional Medical Center Mainland Division. Born in Hammonton he was a lifelong resident there. He was a self-employed barber for over 60 years in Hammonton. Mr. Santomas was a Navy Veteran of World War II. He was a radio operator aboard PC1176 and saw action on D-Day at Utah Beach. He is survived by his wife, Marie M. Santomas (nee Calletta); his son John E. Santomas of Hammonton, his brother in law John J. Calletta of Hammonton and several nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held Monday 9:30am until 11:30am at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third Street, Hammonton followed by a Christian Burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Hammonton. In lieu of flowers Memorial Donations may be made to the American Heart Association 2550 US Highway 1, North Brunswick, NJ 08902.
