Obituary of Charles J. "Scotty" Scott

Charles J. "Scotty" Scott, 72, of Galloway passed away on Thursday in AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, Mainland Division. Born in Kresson, NJ he was a lifelong South Jersey resident. Scotty was a retired heavy equipment operator with the Atlantic County Utilities Authority in Pleasantville. He was an avid fisherman and boater and just loved being out on the water. He loved watching football, music, and playing the guitar. He was a former member of the band "Twilighter's", and the Mummer's String Band. He was a member of the Saltwater Angler Registry, and Harold's Club in Absecon. Scotty was predeceased by his parents, Ellsworth and Emily Scott and his sister Joan. He is survived by his lifetime companion Barbara A. Jones of Galloway and son Brian of Delaware, his brother, Ellsworth Scott, Jr. and his wife Carol of Kresson, NJ and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He also leaves behind his beloved dog "Gunny" and his three cats, Steeler, Chloe, & Pebbles. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday 11:00am at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St., where a viewing will be held from 10:00am until 11:00am. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of Atlantic County, 1401 Absecon Blvd., Atlantic City, NJ 08401
