Reverend Elbert Hannah, 90, of Newtonville, NJ passed away on Monday August 2, 2010 at Virtua Hospital in Berlin. Born in Pinehurst, NC he lived in Newtonville for 55 years. Reverend Hannah was an Ordained Minister for over 30 years having last served the Zion Hill Baptist Church. He was currently a member of Bethel Holy Temple Church in Newtonville. He was a 50 year member of the Laborers Local 172 in Folsom. Reverend Hannah was an Army Veteran of World War II. He was predeceased by two grandchildren. Reverend Hannah is survived by his wife of 65 years : Geravia (nee Woody) Hannah; five children: Artie Blunt of Vineland; Loretta Brown of Atlanta, GA; Elbert O. Hannah of Williamstown; Jerry R. Hannah of Galloway; William E. Hannah of Buena; one sister: Ernestine Midgett of Detroit, MI; one brother: William Hannah of Pleasantville, 14 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral Services will be held Saturday 11:00am in Bethel Holy Temple Church Eighth Street, Newtonville, where a viewing will be held from 10:00am until 11:00am. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery, Newtonville.
