Obituary of Boyd R. Rector

Boyd R. Rector, "Mr. Fix It" 79, of Hammonton passed away on Tuesday at Vitas Hospice Center in Stratford. Born in Hickory, NC he lived in Hammonton for sixty years. He was an U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Rector formerly worked as a manager for Hammonton Auto Parts. He was an avid hunter and a handyman who could fix anything. He enjoyed spending the winters in Florida with his wife . Mr. Rector is survived by his beloved wife of fifty seven years , Pauline Rector (nee Jacobs), two sons, Robert Rector (Miriam) of Danville, CA, John Rector of Atlanta, GA, one brother, Phifer Rector of Hickory, NC, and many nephews and nieces. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday 10:00am in St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish, Church of St. Martin de Porres, 129 Park Ave., Hammonton. Burial will follow in Greenmount Cemetery. A viewing will be held Friday evening 6:30pm - 9:00pm at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St., Hammonton. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Vitas Hospice, 18 East Laurel Road, Third Floor, Stratford, NJ 08084.
