Obituary of Matthew R. Gazzara

Matthew R. Gazzara Sr. , 89 of Hammonton passed away on Friday at New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home in Vineland. Born in Hammonton he was a lifelong resident there. Mr. Gazzara was an U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II. Mr. Gazzara was the owner of MRG Sheet Metal Shop in Hammonton. He was a member of the VFW Post No. 1026 and the American Legion Post No. 186 both in Hammonton, the Rosedale Gun Club in Waterford , and the Square Circle Sportsman's Club in Gibbsboro, he was a lifetime member of the Hammonton Volunteer Fire Company No. 2. He was an avid square dancer and he belonged to the Federation of Delaware Valley Square and Round Dancers. He was predeceased by his wife Mabel Gazzara. He is survived by two sons and their wives, Matthew R. Gazzara Jr. and Georgianna, Robert H. Gazzara and Jeanne all of Hammonton, and four grandchildren, Nicole Nicklaw and her husband Brian, Michele Gazzara, Matthew Gazzara and Robert Gazzara. A viewing will be held Tuesday April 9, 2013 from 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish Church of St. Anthony of Padua, 285 Route 206 in Hammonton, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM. Burial will be private at the Brig. General Wm.C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hammonton Vol. Fire Co. No 2, P.O. Box 281, Hammonton, NJ 08037 or to the charity of donors choice.
