Obituary of Christopher "Philly" Goodwin

Christopher "Philly" Goodwin, 18 of Hammonton passed away Sunday in Atlantic Care Satellite Emergency Department in Hammonton. Born in Abington, PA, he lived in Philadelphia before moving to Hammonton ten years ago. He was a member of Hammonton High School Class of 2013. Christopher was an honor student and received the Academic Presidential Award all four years of high school. He was a member of the High School Green Club, the cross country, and track teams. He holds the school record in the 1,600-meter relay. Christopher played for the Hammonton Hawks organization and the Hammonton Little League where he was a member of several All-Star teams. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather Joseph Goodwin. He is survived by his parents David Goodwin and Tracey Goodwin (nee Smith), his three brothers, Zachary Goodwin, Shane Goodwin; Collin Goodwin, one sister, Allyson Goodwin, his paternal grandmother, Joan Goodwin, his maternal grandparents, Robert and Marie Smith and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday 11:00am in St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish, Church of St. Martin de Porres RC Church, 129 Park Ave. Hammonton. Burial will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Hammonton. A viewing will be held Thursday 5:00pm - 9:00pm at St. Martin's Church.
