Obituary of Manuel Valentino

Manuel Valentino, 82 of Hammonton passed away Tuesday in AtlanticCare Regional Medical Center. Born in Isabella, PR he lived in Hammonton for 67 years. He formerly worked as a salesman for the Army Navy Store in Hammonton, and he was also the manager for the Endicott Johnson Store on Bellevue Avenue in Hammonton. Mr. Valentino was a member of the National Guard, the Hammonton Welfare Board and he was an official translator for the Town of Hammonton. He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus, the Assumption Society, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Society, the Crusillo, the Puerto Rican Civic Association and St. Joseph's Church. He was predeceased by his wife, Margarita Valentino. Manuel is survived by his three daughters, Daisy Gazzara (James), Margarita Valentino-Poland(James) all of Hammonton, Linda Dedrick of Voorhees, his grandchildren, Christina Mercado(Jaime), Elena Meade (Ray), Erik Pabon(Sheila), Stephanie Bermudez(Scott); his great grandchildren, Steven, Matthew, Kayshla, Erik, Jr., and Xavier. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday 9:30am in St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish, Church of St. Anthony of Padua, 285 Rte. 206 in Hammonton. Entombment will follow in Greenmount Cemetery. A viewing will be held Friday 7:00pm until 9:00pm at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St., Hammonton.
