Obituary of Louis B. LaMotta

Louis B. LaMotta, 90 of Pine Hill, NJ and formerly of Hammonton passed away on Tuesday at his residence. Born in Philadelphia he was a resident of Pine Hill for 15 years. He owned and operated LaMotta's Shoe Repair in Hammonton. Mr. LaMotta was an army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the VFW Post and the St. John's Society both in Hammonton. Mr. LaMotta was the President of the Hammonton Hawks Organization from 1962 to 1982. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Jeanette LaMotta,(nee Penza) his son Lee LaMotta and his partner Mark Slashinski of Pine Hill, two sisters, Angelina Mazza of Hammonton and Rose Falo of Cherry Hill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday 11:30am in St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish Church of St. Joseph's, N. Third St., Hammonton. Burial will follow in Greenmount Cemetery. A viewing will be held Friday 7:00pm to 9:00pm and again on Saturday 10:30am at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St., Hammonton.
