God bless you, Augusta... gone too soon but will never ever be forgotten. Since I was older when you were born, I remember you growing up... from the smiley little girl with dark hair and glasses to the beautiful young woman you became. My heart breaks for a beautiful life that was cut too short.

Augusta was a beautiful young woman in so many ways. We weren't as involved with each other as we should have been but she still meant the world to me being my little cousin. Any time that we did get to spend together was amazing. We'd always just pick right back up from where we left off. She had such a wonderful smile and bright sprit. She's up there looking down on us with her father back in his arms where she belongs. I can only hope that she can still experience everything she should have threw us. Will we never forget her. Xoxo always.

So many laughs and memories shared throughout high school. From concerts that ended with girls throwing orange juice in the Honda to 2 am Walmart trips to dying my hair in your house. Rest easy girl. I have nothing but the fondest memories from our times together.

Along life's path, we meet an assortment of people who touch our lives. Some are lifelong friends while others are there only for a short time, but have a special place in your heart. Augusta Allen was one of those people who touched my life. I met her when she was in the 5th grade at St. James Lutheran Church in Folsom. I was new to the church and offered to teach the middle school Sunday school class and start a youth group.
The first day I had about ten shy tweens who wouldn't open up, and thankfully my son Zack and Augusta who never failed to contribute to the discussion. Over the years, Augusta took the lead with every project we tackled, with a dry sense of humor and a smile. Whether it was our first fundraiser, a spaghetti dinner and talent show, where she danced unboundedly or a weeklong mission trip to Virginia where we slept on the floor of a deserted movie theater and volunteered at a shelter.
For several years, she joined our group to camp with 2,000 teenagers during a Christian Youth Rally in Wildwood. Cold showers, camping on the beach and eating food lightly dusted in sand didn't slow her down, as she urged us to listen to one more speaker or sing around the campfire.
I spent 5 years with Augusta and she always gave 100% to outreach and mission projects even though she was a sick little girl. She had juvenile diabetes and complications, but she never complained. Ok, she complained when the boys teased her or when others weren't pulling their weight, but she never complained about her own problems. She just smiled and continued to help others.
On Sunday, August 25, Augusta went to be with her Lord and Savior. She left everyone whose life she touched a little sadder, but enriched by having known her.
I will miss Augusta. My prayers go out to her family.

Augusta, I remember the day in first meeting you and how you changed my life and how I live forward as of today. Your presence has impacted me in many ways that I cherish and continue to cherish. You have given such great joy and love to your parents, family members, and friends. I will sadly miss you as like I do your father Richard. But now, you are with your father and the Lord our God. You will never be alone in Haven and never forgotten on earth for those like me you have touch with your spirit. Augusta my young heart, rest in peace with the angels above playing the music of your music box. Peace be with you.
Your God Father, Keith

I will never forget playing dress up in your moms clothes and shoes. Trying to figure out how to play that guitar:-) I will always remember that feisty little dog you had, my first dog bite ever I might add :-) I was trying to make it into the tree house but I wasn't fast enough and I can't forget your Chuck E Cheeses Birthday party, we had so many good times on Thomas Ave. We were childhood friends and I will never forget, rest in peace sweet girl.

I have fond memories of Augusta coming to my daughter's (Rebecca) birthday sleep-overs every summer. I would have a house full of screaming little girls and I loved every minute of it. Augusta was a very beautiful, bright little girl, and grew to be a beautiful young woman. My heart breaks for her family. My prayers are with you during this very difficult time.
