Obituary of William H. Oliver

William H. Oliver Sr, 90, of Estell Manor passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at the New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home in Vineland. Born in Chester, PA he was a resident of the South Jersey area since 1965. Mr. Oliver retired after serving in the U.S. Army and U.S. Army Air Corps for twenty seven years spanning World War II, the Korean and the Vietnam Wars. He was awarded the Bronze Star, a Purple Heart and multiple campaign ribbons for his service during World War II. He was a member of the V.F.W. Posts in Estell Manor, and Largo, FL. He was predeceased by his wife, Sarah A. Oliver and his granddaughter, Samantha Oliver. He is survived by his daughter, Anne E. DiGerolamo, (Rocco III) of Hammonton, three sons, William H. Oliver Jr. (Flo) of Waterford Township, Robert Oliver of Hilton Head, SC, Steven Oliver (Maryann) of Philadelphia, one sister, Thelma Flynn of Old Bridge, twelve grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. A graveside funeral service will be held Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 1:30 PM at the Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery, 109 Route 50 in Estell Manor.
