Dear Mom,
As always, I wish you were still here in my life.
Yesterday, I wished you were here to hear me say "Happy 74TH Birthday"
and that we could celebrate your bithday in our usual way.
I wanted to see you read your birthday card with a pig on it, give you a gift and watch the smile you would display,
as you would wait with great anticipation about having a sweet treat,
until we would sit together and have some birthday cake to eat.
In honor of your memory I baked you your favorite, a carrot cake.
Dad, Aunt Fran, Uncle Eddie, Debbie, Pugsey, Amigo and I all had a piece of it to celebrate your life,
eventhough your sudden death will always cause our hearts to ache.
As I bid you my birthday wish my tears did fall,
because for the first time, I could only bid my birthday wish to you in a blue marble box that contained the ashes of your body in all.
Thank God for the promise that our spirit can live on eternally. I miss you. Rest in peace until we meet again.
