Obituary of David C Volz

David C. Volz, Jr. of Blue Anchor, passed away Thursday in Vitas Hospice in Stratford. Born on Dec. 6, 1938 in Trenton, to Christina and David C. Volz, Sr. he lived in Blue Anchor for 30 years. He was predeceased by his parents, and his sister, Virginia Volz. Mr. Volz received his engineering degree from Rutgers University in New Brunswick. He began his career testing submarine engines and later spent 25 years of service in Environmental Protection for the State of New Jersey(Administrative Actions). He retired as Regional Supervisor of Compliance Investigations. Mr. Volz was an active member of the NJ Emergency Management Response Team. He was a veteran of the US Army serving six years. Mr. Volz was an avid race car fan, loved being outdoors, and spending time with family and friends. Mr. Volz was the loving husband of Mary Volz (nee Amendolia), devoted father to Andrea Volz of Blue Anchor, brother of Jack Volz and his wife Marilyn and Robert Volz. He is also survived by his mother in law Catherine Amendolia, his sisters in law and brothers in-law, Loretta and Dave Ingemi, Donna Amendolia, Dominic and Sheila Amendolia, Henry Amendolia all of Hammonton and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday 12:00pm at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St., Hammonton, where a viewing will be held from 10:30am until 12:00pm. Entombment will be in Greenmount Cemetery.
