Obituary of Anthony J. Angello

Anthony J. Angello, 87, of Hammonton passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2014, in Virtua Hospital in Berlin. Born in Hammonton, he was a lifelong resident of Rosedale and Hammonton. He was a United States army veteran of the Korean War. Prior to his service in the Korean War, he worked on the family farm in Rosedale where he started Angello's Liquors; and he installed wells with his father before serving his country. Mr. Angello was a former bus driver for the Hammonton School District Bus #14. He also worked at Whitehall Laboratories in Hammonton and was the owner/operator of A. Angello Plumbing, 24-hour plumbing service. He was a member of the Hammonton Exchange Club, and served terms as their President and Vice President and had the honor of being the longest serving member. Mr. Angello was also a member of the American Legion F.A. Funston Post 186 in Hammonton. Mr. Angello looked forward to and enjoyed family gatherings, loved dancing, was an avid bowler, and a Phillies fan. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Bessie Angello, his brothers Domenic (Dorothy) and James (Catherine) and his sisters, Anna (Matthew) Caruso and Edna (Larry) Donahue. He is survived by four sisters, Genevieve Angello, Theresa Farina, Marie Warner all of Maryland; Delores Anderson of Virginia, three very special nieces who helped him throughout the years, Dorothy M. Angello (Charles P. Macri), Joanne (Michael) Mangano and Helen (Eric) Bell all of Hammonton; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday 10:00am in St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish, Church of St. Joseph's 226 French St., Hammonton. Burial will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Hammonton. Viewings will be held Wednesday 7:00pm until 9:00pm and again on Thursday 9:00am at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S.
