Edwin C. Coia, 74, of Hammonton, passed away suddenly on June 2, 2014. Predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Catherine (Penza) Coia and wife's parents, James ("Brute") and Antoinette DiNatale. Beloved husband of 50 years to Angela R. (DiNatale); devoted father to Renee Adamucci (Ron) of Hammonton and James Coia (Angel) of Sicklerville; proud grandfather of Alexa and Astin Adamucci and Giovanna and James "Jimmy"; Edwin Coia. Survived by his brothers, Joseph (Barbara) and Louis (Shirley) of Hammonton, and sister, Terese (Matt) Butenhoff of Ventnor, and sisters-in-law Rita DiNatale and Diane (DiNatale) Fitzpatrick of Atco. Adored uncle to Kellyanne (George), Renee (Greg), Shannon (Scott) and Luke (Angel). Honorary PopPop to George, Claudia, Charlotte and Vanessa. Honorary brother to Walter (Barbara) Sacco and honorary father to John Beckisz. True and entertaining friend to countless others. Eddie and Angie owned and operated The Country Farm Market and Mama D's Catering in Atco, for 40 years. He worked at Eastern Brewing Company. He was a graduate of St. Joseph High School Class of 1958, where he played basketball. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army, and traveled internationally with the ice hockey team as a manager. Eddie loved fishing, hunting, college sports, Philly sports teams, telling stories from the old days, and all things Italian. Eddie was a no-fuss guy in a world of bells and whistles. He found pleasure in life's simplest, and most important, pleasures: grandchildren, friends, reading, the diner, his work. A viewing will be held from 9:30-11:30am on Friday, June 6, at Assumption Church, Christ the Redeemer Parish, 318 Carl Hasselhan Drive, Atco, followed immediately by a Mass of Christian Burial. Burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, White Horse Pike, Hammonton, NJ.
