Obituary of Leonard J. Schleyer

Leonard Schleyer Jr., 80, of Hammonton passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at Penn Presbyterian Hospital in Philadelphia. Born in Galloway Township he was a resident of Hammonton since 1965. Mr. Schleyer was a Marine Corp Veteran of the Korean War. Before retiring he was an owner of Charlie's Clam Bar in the Berlin Farmers Market. He was an avid Philadelphia Phillies fan and he enjoyed going to their games. He was predeceased by his wife, Laura "Pat" Schleyer, and his grandson, Ryan James Schleyer. He is survived by his three children, Laurie Schleyer, Richard Schleyer, and Leonard Schleyer III and his wife Kim all of Hammonton; two sisters, Gert Johnson of Alabama and Patricia Amedio of Hammonton; four grandchildren, four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service at the convenience of the family will be held at a later date.
