Obituary of Kenneth Joseph Grasso

Kenneth Joseph Grasso, 63, of Williamstown passed away suddenly at home on Friday, February 20, 2015. Kenny was born and raised in Hammonton, and has lived in Williamstown for the last twenty five years. He was a Hammonton High School Graduate Class of 1969. He was an U.S. Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War. Kenny belonged to the American Legion Post No. 186 in Hammonton. Before retiring in April 2014 he worked as a mailman for the Hammonton Post Office for forty three years, he loved interacting with people at the Post Office and along his mail route . He enjoyed freshwater bass fishing, going to the beach and playing ping pong. He was a Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles fan, and he was a Phillies season ticket holder. He was predeceased by his mother, Grace A. Grasso (nee Longo). He is survived by his beloved wife, Sandra Grasso; one son, Matthew Grasso (Kristy) of Hammonton; one daughter, Amanda Grasso of Hammonton; two step daughters, Jennifer Tunaitis (Mike) of Washington Township, and Robin Winner (Jorge Aviles) of Pennsauken; his father, Joseph R. Grasso of Hammonton; three brothers, Richard J. Grasso of Hammonton, Howard J. Grasso of Las Vegas, NV, and Joseph R. Grasso (Shirley) of Hammonton; one sister, Mary Ellen Teti (Chuck) of Barrington; four grandchildren, Alyssia, McKenzie, Taylor, and Avery. He is also survived by a nephew, nieces, cousins and friends. A viewing will be held Tuesday, February 24, 2015 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM and Wednesday, February 25, 2015 from 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish Church of St. Joseph's, 226 French Street in Hammonton, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10:30 AM. Burial with military honors will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hammonton. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
