Obituary of Maria Y. Herrera

Mauricia Maria Herrera Velazquez left this world to be with god on Thursday, June 4. Mauricia was born on September 10, 1923 to Timotéo Herrera and Donata Velazquez in Zafra, Mexico. She is predeceased by two brothers and leaves behind five brothers, her daughters Eva and Rocio, Sons-in-law Jerry and Uciel, nephews (Tino, Eric and Victor) and niece Lucy, nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Mauricia was a strong, loving and caring soul. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her world. She was an avid soccer fan and loved watching las Chivas de Guadalajara and her grandchildren play. Mauricia enjoyed playing with her dog, Rusty and bird watching. She loved animals, flowers and the outdoors. A rosary will be held in her honor at 4pm with a mass following at 5pm on Monday, June 8, 2015 at St. Gianna Beretta Molla Parish, 1421 New Road Northfield, NJ 08225
