Obituary of Barbara A. Ingemi

Barbara A. Ingemi, 77, (nee Paltz) of Hammonton, affectionately known as "Miss Barbara" passed away Thursday, January 5, 2017 in Kennedy Hospital in Washington Township. Born in Baltimore, MD, she lived in Yardville before moving back to Hammonton in 1997. She was a graduate of St. Joseph's High School Class of 1958 and St. Francis College Class of 1962. Barbara was a retired school teacher having taught first and third grades. She began her career in Gibbsboro, then taught in Hamilton Township and at Lore Elementary School in Ewing Township. Barbara was a member and Past President of the Altar Rosary Society of St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish. She could always be found volunteering her time at many Church activities. She also volunteered at the Good Samaritan Center on Wednesday nights. Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Drag Ingemi; her daughter and son in law, Annemarie I. and Frank Mazzei of Aberdeen; her granddaughter, Gianna Marie Mazzei; her brother, Arthur B. Paltz, III and his wife Jane of Edison; her sister Doris Macchia of Kettering, Ohio; her sister in law Nancy Garchinsky of Folsom, and her many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, January 10, 2017 11:30am in St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish, Church of St. Joseph's 226 French St., Hammonton. Burial will follow in Holy Sepulcre Cemetery. A viewing will be held Tuesday 9:00am - 11:00am at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St., Hammonton. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Filippini Sister's, at St. Joseph's Convent, 219 N. Third St., Hammonton, NJ 08037.
