Obituary of Richard A. Chiappine
Richard "Rickster" A. Chiappine, 65, of Hammonton passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at home. Born in Hammonton he was a lifelong resident there. Richard worked as a Chrysler Technician for Parisi Motors in Hammonton, then he worked as an Automotive Technician for the South Jersey Transportation Authority in Egg Harbor City for twenty five years before his retirement. He enjoyed collecting Wheel Horse Tractors and restoring classic Mopar muscle cars. He was always handy and willing to lend a helpful hand to family and friends especially with automotive repairs.
Richard was predeceased by his parents, Anthony J. and Elizabeth Chiappine. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Chiappine (nee Eakins); one daughter, Kathleen Scardino (Michael), one son, Richard Chiappine Jr.; one granddaughter, Ashlynne Scardino; and one brother, Anthony J. Chiappine (Patty) all of Hammonton.
A viewing will be held on Monday, May 1, 2017 from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third Street in Hammonton. There will be no viewing on Tuesday morning. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at 10:30 AM in St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish, Church of St. Joseph's 226 French St., Hammonton. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Hammonton.
