Obituary of Joanne Privitera

Joanne Privitera, (nee Saia) 74, of Hammonton passed away peacefully on Monday, Dec. 11, 2017 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Hammonton she was a lifelong resident. Joanne formerly worked as a switch board operator and as a secretary for Shore Memorial Hospital, as a receptionist for Adams, Rehmann & Heggan and she also worked with her daughter at Sassy Sweets. Family was everything to Joanne especially time spent with them. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband Charles A. LaRosa. Joanne is survived by her husband, Stephen Privitera; her daughter, Lisa jo Carrigan (James) of Mays Landing; her son Charles "Brother" LaRosa (Jami); her stepsons, Christopher Privitera (Terry); Stephen Privitera (Kristie) all of Hammonton; her sister, Grace Silipino; her brother Charles A. Saia (Linda) all of Hammonton; Rita McFadden (Mike) of Atco who was like a sister to Joanne; her grandchildren, Kasey, Karlee , Charlee, Zackary, Lukas, Adam, Emily, Kyle, Joseph, Stephen, Cydney and Cooper. Memorial Services will be held 8:00pm Friday, Dec. 15, 2017 at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St., Hammonton where a visitation will be held from 6:00pm - 8:00pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations my be made to the Hammonton Cancer Foundation, PO Box 1066, Hammonton, NJ 08037 or to South Jersey Field of Dreams, 1000 Bay Drive, Egg Harbor Township, NJ 08234.
