Obituary of Annamae C. Jacobs

Annamae C. Jacobs (nee Mattioli), 60, of Hammonton passed away on Monday, February 12, 2018 at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City. Born in Philadelphia, PA she was a lifelong resident of Hammonton. Before retiring she worked as a teacher for St. Joseph's Regional Elementary School and as a substitute teacher for the Hammonton Public School System. She was a member of St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish Church of St. Anthony of Padua, where she served as an Eucharistic Minister, Knights of Columbus St. Vincent Pallotti Council Ladies Auxiliary, South Jersey Pops Orchestra where she played flute and she was a board member for St. Joseph's Regional Elementary School. Annamae also coached swimming for Hammonton High School and for the Hammonton Swim Club. She was predeceased by her parents, Clarence and Gilda Mattioli, her brother, Vincent Mattioli, and father and mother in law, Carmen and Grace Jacobs. She is survived by her husband, Frank A. Jacobs, one daughter ,Emily Leyrer (Kyle), her precious granddaughter who was the apple of her eye, Gianna Grace, two brothers, Eli R. Mattioli and Clarence J. Mattioli, three sisters, Carol Hoffman, Lisa Sacchi, and Grace Mattioli, her brother in law, Carmen Jacobs, sister in law, Katherine Conway (Greg) , her nieces and nephews, Brigid Jacobs, Connor Conway, Courtney Conway, Matthew Mattioli and Maria Mattioli. A visitation will be held on Monday, February 19, 2018 from 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish Church of St.Anthony of Padua, 285 Route 206 in Hammonton, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Hammonton. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Joseph's Regional Elementary School, 133 N. Third Street, Hammonton, NJ 08037.
