Obituary of Samuel G. Mascioli

Samuel G. Mascioli, 89, of Hammonton passed away peacefully on Monday, February 26, 2018 with his loving family by his side. Born in Hammonton he was a lifelong resident there. Mr. Mascioli was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War, where he achieved the rank of Sergeant. He worked as a printer for the Vineland Times Journal and the Hammonton News. He also worked for many years in security for the Atlantic County Human Services Center. He was a longtime faithful member of St. Martin DePorres R.C. Church in Hammonton, where he served as an usher. He was a longtime and active member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Society in Hammonton, where he served  for many years as Treasurer and on the Board of Directors. He is predeceased by his wife, Josephine Mascioli and his two brothers Rocco and Dominic. He is survived by two daughters, Kathy Farinaccio (Vincent), and Carol Mascioli (Jeffrey Arnold), one son, Sammy Mascioli (Debbie), six grandchildren, Jennifer Marshall (Leroy), Alison Penna (Justin), Katie-Lynn Mascioli, Kelsey Mascioli, Samuel Mascioli Jr. and Solomon Mascioli, and one great granddaughter, Kaylee Rae Penna. Viewings will be held on Friday, March 2, 2018 from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM, and Saturday, March 3, 2018 from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish Church of St. Anthony of Padua, 285 Route 206 in Hammonton, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Hammonton. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Society, PO Box 182, Hammonton, NJ 08037.
