Obituary of James Byron Johnson
James Byron Johnson, 74,of Nesco passed away on March 1, 2018 at home. Born in Hammonton he was a lifelong resident of the Hammonton and Nesco area. Mr. Johnson served in the U.S. Air Force for sixteen years, achieving the rank of Master Sergeant. He was a self-employed Master Craftsman, who built many homes in the South Jersey area. He was predeceased by his daughter, Precious Johnson, his parents, John Russell and Bessie Johnson, two brothers, John Russell Johnson and Pete Johnson, and one sister, Laverda Snyder. He is survived by his beloved wife of thirty seven years, Eileen Johnson, four step- children, Vincent DeLucca (Michelle), Deneen Wyld (Steve), Colleen Roberts, and Nicholas DeNote, one brother, Harry Johnson (Anna), two sisters, Ruth DeNote and Bessie Doty (Warren) and five granddaughters. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Batsto-Pleasant Mills United Methodist Church, 4200 Nesco Road, Mullica Township, NJ. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Batsto Pleasant Mills Meeting House, 3559 Nesco Road, Hammonton, NJ 08037.
