Obituary of Daniel Richard Scaffidi

Daniel Scaffidi, 16, of Hammonton passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2018 in AtlanticCare Regional Medical Center Mainland Division. Born in Somers Point he was a lifelong Hammonton resident. He formerly played for the Hammonton Hawks Football Organization and played football his freshman year of High School. Daniel was a junior at Hammonton High School. He loved fishing, playing video games, swimming and drawing. Daniel loved his dog Meggie. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Richard J. Domenico and his paternal grandparents, Percy and Catherine Scaffidi and his uncle Anthony Scaffidi. Daniel is survived by his parents, Suzanne and Jimmy Scaffidi; his brother Michael Scaffidi; his maternal grandmother Elizabeth "Betty" Domenico all of Hammonton; his aunts and uncles, Pete and Lorraine Scaffidi, Marie Scaffidi, Joe and Carol Scaffidi, Richard and Kathleen Scaffidi, Rosemary Eikamp, Nancy Scaffidi, Phyllis and Chip Crouch, Cathy Scaffidi, Richard Domenico; Michele and Anthony Bucci; 22 first cousins along with so many close friends. Relatives, friends and classmates are invited to attend a Mass of Christian of Burial, Wednesday May 23, 2018, 11:00 am in St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish, Church of St. Joseph's 226 French St., Hammonton. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. There will be no viewing. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Mary of Mt. Carmel's Youth Group, 226 French St., Hammonton, NJ 08037.
