Obituary of Nicoletta Gazzara

Nicoletta "Nicky" Gazzara (nee Massara), 92, of Hammonton passed away peacefully at Virtua Hospital in Berlin on Tuesday Feb. 22, 2011. Born in Philadelphia, she lived in Hammonton for 85 years. She was a retired seamstress for Crown Pants Co. of Hammonton. Mrs. Gazzara was a former Camp Fire Girls Leader, a member of the Hammonton P.T.A., St. Rita's Society, the Rosary Altar Society, a member and treasurer for the Hammonton Senior Citizens and a member of the Amalgamated Clothing Workers Union. Her life's passion was her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved cooking, baking and caring for each one of them. She cherished her garden and enjoyed sharing the fruits of her labor with her family. Mrs. Gazzara was predeceased by her husband: Vincent S. Gazzara and her son: Vincent J. Gazzara. She is survived by her two daughters and their spouses: Loretta and Chris Rehmann of Hammonton; Jean and Michael LaMarca of San Jose, CA; one brother: Ben Massara of Hammonton; one sister: Betty DiRico of Oaklyn; her grandchildren: Chris and Rachel Rehmann; Richard and Linda Rehmann; Jason LaMarca, Anthony and Mandy LaMarca, David and Angie Gazzara, Lori and Keith Darrow, Stacey and Chris Mauceri, and her 12 great grandchildren: Erin, Jack, Emily and Jessica Rehmann; Audrey and Abby LaMarca; Nicholas and Elisa Gazzara, Willa and Ethan Darrow, Vincenzo and Giovanna Mauceri. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday 10:00am in St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish at St. Martin de Porres RC Church, 129 Park Ave., Hammonton. Burial will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. A viewing will be held Thursday 6:00pm - 9:00pm and again on Friday morning 8:30am at the Carnesale Funeral Home 202 S. Third St., Hammonton.
