I have known August since 1978, as I have been selling seed to the family farm. My life has been made richer since I have known this man. He was one of the most down to earth and honest men I have ever met. We all are lucky to have been a part of his life. He will be truly missed. Bryan Hannigan

Uncle August, I have been fortunate to have had a lifetime of great memories with you and your family. Growing up, all of us were always together. So many good times whether around the table in our houses or out in the deer woods, we always had fun. You, like my father, were one of the most honorable men I've ever had the privilege of knowing. A consummate gentleman, an amazing father, friend and role model. I know our family will miss you deeply. We will always treasure the love and friendship that we all shared.
