Wow this saddens me so much to hear of your passing. I've known you my whole life, you were like my big brother growing up. Even after the bad times years later, it was so good seeing you at Wawa and catching up. I was so honored when you told me you had your own carpenter business and it was because of everything you learned from my dad. Prayers to your girls and the rest of the family. I'm sorry I would have came to your service had I have known. RIP Jamie

This is my big brother Jamie, my first best friend, the one who road his bike all the way to the hospital to see me only to find out I was a girl, bummer. We did everything together as kids, although we were 9 years apart. He always included me, even if it was to be his stunt prop for his bmx bike tricks, or convincing me at 10 years old to go on the sky coaster in wildwood. He loved to torture me as any older sibling does, traumatizing me on the top of the condor ride in wildwood, swinging the cart a hundred feet in the air and forcing me to go in haunted houses I had no business being in.
Certain instances in my life brought me closer to him after years apart and I helped welcome his first daughter, my niece Lucia into the world as well as my niece Francesca. I remember walking miles in the sweltering heat just to get a glimpse of beautiful little Louie.
We didn’t live close to each other and as time went on and we got older we moved in separate directions. He began to face some personal demons and years would go by where we would see each other. But without a doubt, any trying time in MY life, he always some how managed to be there for me, no matter what he was going through, no matter how long we were apart. He always had my back.
Not that I need validation or anything, but I just want the world to know that beyond the crazy tough exterior, there was a boy who loved with all his heart. It was always there, he just had a funny way of showing it. I want him to be remembered as the boy I knew, who always put a smile on my face, who tortured me until I couldn’t take it, and the one who never gave up on me. Although he is no longer with us, ( it just kills me to even write it), I want the world to know how amazing he really was. Sleep in peace my beautiful angel, I will always hold you close to my heart.
